Karl B. Smith recently received a commission to create and install several murals at Bonny Hill Plantation on the west side of the Combahee River in the ACE Basin, SC. This page will be updated as the project goes forward.

"I've already got a good start on it. It's involving a lot of research so far. It will be a history of the plantation, from Indians on. I'm having to read some interesting books on rice culture. No, really, interesting. Here's a photo of the house. It's where Somerset Maugham wrote "The Razor's Edge", etc. The dining room is small with not a lot of wall space, but we'll overcome that problem." - KBS, June 28, 2007
